HORSE !

The new album "Desperate Living" by Horse The Band is on the way, and it seems they have taken a much more serious approach than on previous efforts. The following video features unusually calm moments for the band and Xiu Xiu's singer Jamie Stewart.

The Montreal deathcore outfit Despised Icon recently filmed this video with hip hop video producers Kartel Films for the title song of their album "Day Of Mourning" which was released just today. Enjoy!




The Black Dahlia Murder also recently released their new newest effort "Deflorate". To celebrate the achieval, the guys went bowling.

So nowadays you cannot watch good music videos on TV but on the interwebs.

Saosin made a video for the song "Changing" off their new album, "In Search Of Solid Ground". I think they are going in a more and more redundant direction, but the song and video are okay to watch.

Portugal. The Man, a stellar rock band from Alaska, have made quite a bizarre and intersting video for the new single "Do You", which is a beautiful song anyway.




Next in line is the Horror-themed video for "I hate this, do you like it?" by the UK band Chickenhawk. Besides a crazy bandname and video, their sound is kinda hard to describe as it includes elements of punk, hard rock and metal with some weird overtones. Great song, scary but also great video.




Streetlight Manifesto is one of the few good Ska bands and has been around for a long time now. This video is kind of funny, but also adresses serious topics like animal rights and war policy.

Europawahlen 2009

Diesen Sonntag fanden die Wahlen zum Europaparlament statt. Das Resultat is erschreckend denn es gingen nicht nur wieder einmal die meisten Stimmen an die Konservativen Parteien (hier in Deutschland CDU und CSU), auch das rechte Bündnis UEN kam auf fast 5 Prozent. Interessant dass in Berlin CDU und Grüne mit rund 24 Prozent gleichauf lagen.

Hier nochmal das Ergebnis im Überblick:

konservative Europäische Volkspartei (EVP): 36,3 Prozent
europäischen Sozialisten (PES) : 21,6 Prozent
die Liberalen : 11 Prozent
die Linke : 4,5 Prozent
UEN : 4,8 Prozent
die Grünen : 6,9 Prozent

Enter Shikari - Common Dreads

Enter Shikari is back with their second album and has infused their music with even more beats. You can find techno, happy hardcore, dubstep and overall a lot of synthie sounds on this release.
